The upcoming LG-made Nexus could pack amazing features

The upcoming Nexus phones – yes, phones, because we’re going to see two of them this year – keep generating buzz, even though there are still a few months left until their official debut.

Could it be? A Nexus based on the LG G4?

After everything regarding their manufacturers, which will most likely be Huawei and LG, was made clear, it’s time to focus a bit on their features. While the Huawei-made model is rumored to be cheaper, the Nexus smartphone with LG’s logo on the back is expected to pack some serious horsepower under the hood for using app store live wallpapers, alongside some impressive features.

This would look pretty nice with Nexus written on its back, right?

G for Games claims that according to a South Korean website, the handset should be introduced somewhere in October and it’s going to be the first phone powered by Google’s new mobile operating system, currently known as Android M.

Bringing back old technologies?

But hey, this was a certainty and in the end it’s not the operating system that makes the difference, but those features which could go as ‘wow-factors’. Apparently, the LG-made Nexus will feature a 3D camera setup, with extra sensors, used for depth perception, light sensors for operation in darkness or even augmented reality functions.

This wouldn’t be the first time when such camera is used on a phone, as we all remember the LG Optimus 3D or some particular HTC models. Still, if it turns up to be true, it’s going to be powered by the latest technologies, so it should be way more advanced than what we already know.

Moving on, another rumored feature from the list is a fingerprint scanner. Now this makes way more sense, since Android M bring native implementation for this kind of technology, so we don’t see why a Nexus wouldn’t benefit from it. After all, Google needs a great phone in order to start promoting Android Pay!

This is it for the moment, but we will definitely be back with more details about both Nexus handsets as soon as they hit the web!
